Choice is empowering
Join the campaign for your Democratic candidate for Bastrop County Justice of the Peace Precinct 4!
Rachel Turman is committed to serving our community fairly, justly, and honestly.

The Mission
- I am committed to being an official worthy of the community's trust. My goal is to approach the work with fairness, integrity, and respect for the law.
- Break the cycle of unchallenged seats at the County level. When there is only one candidate running for office, there is literally no reason to vote. Elections are about engagement and participation. Bastrop County voters deserve a choice on the ballot as well as the opportunity to expand the scope of representation among their local elected officials.

Vote by mail?
As of 12/24/2025, the U.S. Postal Service implemented a change to postmarking practices.
Postmarks will no longer reflect the drop-off date.
Instead, postmarks will reflect the date of automated processing at regional facilities.
Impact: Letters may be postmarked 1-2 days after deposit, potentially affecting deadline driven deliverables such as mail-in ballots & tax returns.
For time-sensitive items, the USPS recommends visiting a staffed retail location and requesting a hand-stamped, same-day postmark, or mailing items several days in advance.
